The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it will award one $1,500 scholarship to one deserving graduate of any of the public or private high schools in Oconee County.

Applications will be accepted between January 1, 2025 - April 11, 2025

All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 11, 2025

Criteria:

1. The student must be a 2025 graduate of Athens Academy, North Oconee High School, Oconee County High School, Prince Avenue Christian School, or Westminster Christian Academy

2. The student must be pursuing post-secondary education at either a two-year or four-year educational institution in the Summer or Fall of 2025

 -OR-

    The student must be pursuing post-secondary education at a technical and/or vocational institution in the Summer or Fall of 2025

Selection Process:

1. Applications will be reviewed and a decision will be made no later than May 1, 2025

2. Students will be selected based on the following:

• the response to the essay question below;

• participation and leadership in school and community activities and work experience;

• academic achievement

• personal circumstances relating to need
