Leadership Oconee

Leadership Oconee is an annual program sponsored by the Oconee Chamber of Commerce. This program's aim is to educate community members on the needs and issues of Oconee County for the purpose of making a positive change through commitment and service to others.

​This program provides future leaders with an opportunity to develop individual and group leadership skills, gain greater awareness of issues in Oconee County, and commit to a specific project beneficial to the community.​

Possible Class Topics include:
  • Team Building
  • Leadership Skills
  • Local Government Services
  • Assisting with the Fall Festival
  • Socio-Economic Development
  • County Economic Development
  • Agricultural and Rural Influences
  • Small group projects with community involvement
  • Trip to the capitol to meet representatives and senators

Youth Leadership Oconee 

The ​Youth Leadership Oconee program is open to current 11th and 12th grade students living or attending school in Oconee County (including home-schooled students) who want to further develop their leadership skills and channel those skills towards helping others and improving their community. The objective of this program is to provide opportunities for young adults to develop the leadership skills and community awareness necessary to meet the challenges facing Oconee County.
