2017 Business of the 1st Quarter
Oconee State Bank

The Business of the Quarter for the 1st quarter of 2017 was awarded to Oconee State Bank at the March Network Lunch at Outback Steakhouse. Phillip Jackson and Brandon Haney were there to accept the award on behalf of Oconee State Bank. This award is given to a business that's nominated by fellow Chamber members because of their great product or service, willingness to donate time and resources, as well as project a positive image in our community.

2016 Business of the 4th Quarter
Thomas Eye Center

The Business of the Quarter for the 4th quarter of 2016 was awarded to Thomas Eye Center at the December Coffee hosted by BankSouth. Ellen Goad was there to accept the award on behalf of Thomas Eye Center. This award is given to a business that's nominated by fellow Chamber members because of their great product or service, willingness to donate time and resources, as well as project a positive image in our community.
We congratulate Thomas Eye Center for being honored with this award.

2016 Business of the 3rd Quarter
Empire South

The Business of the Quarter for the 3rd quarter of 2016 was awarded to Empire South at the October After Hours hosted by AmeriPride. Derek Chitwood was there to accept the award on behalf of Empire South. This award is given to a business that's nominated by fellow Chamber members because of their great product or service, willingness to donate time and resources, as well as project a positive image in our community.
We congratulate Empire South for being honored with this award.

Hot Thomas BBQ/Thomas Cotton Gin

The Business of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter of 2016 was awarded to Hot Thomas BBQ at the July Coffee hosted by Full Potential Chiropractic. Mark and Diane Thomas were there to accept the award on behalf of Hot Thomas BBQ & Thomas Cotton Gin. This award is given to a business that's nominated by fellow Chamber members because of their great product or service, willingness to donate time and resources, as well as project a positive image in our community.

2016 Business of the Year
Walton EMC


This award is presented each quarter to a business that demonstrates exemplary characteristics of chamber membership. Businesses are nominated by chamber members and voted on by the Ambassador Committee. It is awarded  quarterly at one of our networking events. The Business of the Year is chosen from the four Business of the Quarter recipients.

Walton EMC is the Oconee Chamber Business of the Year.  
Walton EMC is always willing to sponsor Chamber events as well as community events.  Congratulations to Walton EMC!

The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce needs you!  We need your help identifying businesses that not only offer great products and services, but also are outstanding members of our community and Chamber.  We are looking for companies that are ethical, selfless, and proactively make our community a better place to live and work.

New this year, the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce will name a Business of the Quarter in March, June, September and December. They will also award a Business of the Year - to be selected from the 4 quarterly winners and recognized at the Annual Meeting. Nominations will be submitted by Chamber members (You).  The Ambassador Committee will review the nominations and name the winner once all nominations have been totaled.  The person nominating the winning business will also receive a prize, so please send us your nominations!

Please see the guidelines below:
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Oconee Chamber of Commerce.
  • Member must have been a Chamber member for at least 2 years.
  • The member must project a positive image.  The management, tools and materials utilized to conduct the member business shall represent quality and the business dealings and reputation must be above reproach.
  • The nominee must have donated resources (time, talent, money, etc) to the community via projects, clubs, etc.
  • A recipient for Business of the Quarter cannot be selected more than once in a calendar year.
