The Oconee Chamber held its Annual Dinner & Meeting on Thursday, January 21st. This popular event was a fast sellout and those who attended were delighted by a change in the format of our program.  The event was a celebration of the success of Oconee Chamber and its members for 2015!
The evening began with guests being seated in the Theatre for the awards presentations. Walton EMC was the sponsor for our award ceremony, and Cindy Haddon with Walton EMC was emcee for the evening.

This month’s After Hours was one for the books! Thanks so much to Ashford Manor for such a fun event.
There was delicious food provided by Chops & Hops and Mirko! Also some good old fashioned RC Cola and moon pies.  Mario and Dave made some Mint Juleps that were to die for!
Ashford Manor had a special treat in store for Chamber Members, they purposefully did not book any of their rooms so we could tour the grounds and the house.  If you have not been inside Ashford Manor you definitely need to book a room for the night! The rooms are all so different and beautifully decorated, each with it’s own theme!
Besides some awesome door prizes to give away there was also an Instagram Scavenger Hunt, which kept our members very entertained! And boy did we have a turnout of members!! Thank you so much to Dave, Mario and Rachel for hosting such a fabulous event!

The Instagram contest had a dead tie for the winning slot so Ashford Manor will be awarding 2 overnight stays: one for Sean Bailey (Thomas Eye Center) & Stephanie Shiver (Alumni Hall). A very close 2nd place was Christine Tucker (3 Tree Realty) so she will receive a $25 and 2 concert tickets and the Special Recognition awards of $25 gift certificates will go to:  Rami El Jourby (Athens Micro) for Best Selfie and Jason Power (LogoSurfing) for Most Creative. The Photo Contest Winner was Christina Holloway to receive a complimentary 1 night stay. Special Recognition $25 gift certificate prizes, and two complimentary Labor Day Concert Tickets  will go to Maggie Hancock and Kimberly Roberts (Epting Events).
